Nectar360’s Data & Insight team sits at the heart of how Sainsbury’s and Argos partner with leading FMCG brands, using the UK’s largest loyalty dataset to unlock powerful customer insights. Working in a fast-paced, collaborative and commercially focused environment, the team delivers multi-channel marketing and insight solutions that help brands better understand shopper behaviour and drive growth. More about the role
As an Insight Consultant, you will take ownership of delivering insight consultancy projects end-to-end for a portfolio of strategic and development clients. You will use customer data and analytics to understand category performance and shopper behaviour, translating complex outputs into clear, compelling narratives that drive commercial decisions. Alongside project delivery, you will play a key role in identifying and shaping new consultancy opportunities, building a strong pipeline and contributing to the team’s overall revenue targets.
Day to day, you will collaborate with analytics, market research, media planning and commercial teams to scope, design and deliver high-impact solutions. You will lead client conversations, develop proposals and manage project delivery, ensuring outputs are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard. You will also contribute to wider team initiatives, sharing knowledge and supporting the development of best practice across the function.
More About You
You are insight-led with experience turning customer, shopper or commercial data into compelling stories that drive action. You are confident moving beyond analysis to identify the “so what”, communicating clear recommendations that influence decision-making and create value for clients and stakeholders.
Experience in FMCG customer data and insights, is essential, with a strong understanding of how data can be used to answer business questions and support growth. You are comfortable working with large datasets and translating complex findings into simple, engaging narratives for a range of audiences.
You build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, understanding their objectives and proactively identifying opportunities where insight can solve business challenges. You enjoy working in a fast-paced commercial environment, balancing multiple priorities while taking ownership of projects from brief through to delivery.
You are naturally curious, proactive and collaborative, with a passion for understanding customer behaviour and using insight to drive better business outcomes.
Essential Criteria

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a customer insights, market research, analytics or consultancy role.

Experience working within or for FMCG or retail sector.

Experience using supermarket transaction data, customer panel data, loyalty card data or other large-scale customer behaviour datasets.

Proven experience delivering customer insights and consultancy projects using customer, shopper or commercial datasets.

Ability to transform analysis into clear, compelling insight stories and actionable recommendations for stakeholders or clients.

Experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders, clients or decision-makers.

Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to understand business challenges and influence outcomes.

Demonstrable project management skills, with experience managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality work to agreed timelines.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Criteria

Experience supporting commercial growth through identifying client opportunities, developing proposals or contributing to revenue-generating insight projects.

Familiarity with category management, shopper behaviour analysis, customer segmentation or marketing effectiveness measurement.
